Pre-dive ride to site (note: there was no extra charge for Pad Thai tummy)

Dive two was also at white rock and was the final skills test. Had to navigate by compass and take mask completely off while sitting on the ocean floor. We made it to the bottom and my diving "buddy" as they are called started frantically pointing both thumbs up. One of three things was going on.....Someone had put some party gas in her tank and she was having a heck of a good time, she was reconnected with her long lost pet sea turtle, or she was having a panic attack. It turned out to be option three as she grabbed onto the instructor who tried to calm her and prevent her from shooting to the surface. Short Snorkel made it to the surface and boat safely. This prevented her from graduation last night.
Rather then hanging up her fins, Short Snorkel got back on her sea horse and requested a special dive with the instructor this morning to finish her skills and graduate (super proud of her).
Scuba Meghan this morning! (the diver formerly known as Short Snorkel)

Megs private dive lesson with our long blond haired, blue eyed scuba instructor????

And away she goes!

The island has a very low key vibe and undeveloped feel. It was a successful and enjoyable trip to Koh Tao. This afternoon we leave to Koh Samui. Hope all is well. Paul
Location:Koh Tao
Meg - Way to persevere and get it done.
ReplyDeletePaul - I was looking at the pic of you and Meg standing on the boat. Is that a special dive sweater that you are wearing or do you just have that much chest hair?
Shark protection my friend. In the wild either eat or be eaten.
