The Goal

The Goal
1 month to conquer

Arrived safely after 24 hours of travel and no sleep. Things I learned today:
1. My husband is a freak of nature. Neither Xanax nor ambien will make this man fall asleep on an airplane. He will not be brought down.
2. I would argue that flying to the other side of the world while confined to a middle seat between two men whose bodies encroach on your tiny space takes more mental toughness than running a marathon.
3. Stand left, walk right on moving walkways in Asia.
4. CARIBOU COFFEE has a kiosk in the Seoul airport. Literally the first thing I saw as I exited. Should I have known they had gone global?
5. Lake Winnebago shows up on the flight map for Asiana airlines as you fly north out of Chicago. I made sure rows 18-22 were aware of this.
6. Siberia is huge and I know embarrassingly little about it. For about 6 hours every time I checked the flight map we were passing mountain ranges I had never heard of. BIG mountains. I would have been better educated on the geography of the moon... I learned all about the Sea of Tranquility from Cant by me Love at the age of 11...
7. Traveling is awesome.
